# Save and share a theme

Save a tweakcn theme to your account, open it again, and send a link to other people.

After this guide, your theme has a permanent link and an install command.

## Before you begin

- A tweakcn account. Sign in with GitHub or Google.
- Free accounts can save 10 themes. Pro accounts have no limit.

## Save the theme

#### Select Save

In the top bar, select **Save**.

#### Name the theme

Enter a name, for example `Warm Ivory Coral`, and confirm. The theme gets an
ID, for example `cmvkq8481000004l1f8i0dc80`.

#### Find the theme again

Open the theme picker. Your themes are under **Saved Themes**, above **Built-in Themes**.

After you save, the **Save** button changes to **Publish**. See
[Publish to the community](/sharing/publish).

## Share a link

Select **Share** to copy a link.

| Saved theme | `https://tweakcn.com/themes/<theme-id>` |
| Preset | `https://tweakcn.com/editor/theme?theme=<preset>` |

A saved theme page works for people who are not signed in. The page shows the
theme on components and has the install command.

## Install a saved theme

```bash
npx shadcn@latest add https://tweakcn.com/r/themes/cmvkq8481000004l1f8i0dc80
```

Do not add `.json`. See [Install themes with the CLI](/cli/install-themes).

## Use the theme in other tools

- **Export to Figma** in the header applies the theme to a Figma UI kit. See [Export to Figma](/guides/export-to-figma).
- **Open in v0** in the preview bar opens the theme in v0.
