# Enhance a theme with AI

Use Remix, Tweak, and Enhance prompt to change an existing theme with AI.

Use these modes when you already have a theme and want the AI to change it. Each
request uses one of your AI requests.

## Choose a mode

| Mode | Use it to | Example prompt |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Create** | Make a new theme. | Retro terminal UI, green phosphor glow. |
| **Remix** | Make a new theme from a preset. | `@Catppuccin` with a coral primary. |
| **Tweak** | Change part of the current theme. | Make the borders softer and the radius larger. |

## Tweak the current theme

#### Load the theme

Open the theme you want to change. A saved theme opens from **Saved Themes** in
the theme picker.

#### Select Tweak

On the **Generate** tab, select **Tweak**.

#### Describe one change

Write one change in each request. For example:

Make dark mode warmer. Keep the primary color.
```

#### Compare the result

Use undo to compare the old theme and the new theme. Undo returns to the theme
before the request.

## Improve your prompt

Select the **Enhance prompt** icon in the prompt box. Hover over the icons to find it. The AI rewrites your prompt
with more detail. Read the new prompt and edit it before you send it.

## Tips

- Name the token: "primary", "sidebar", "chart 2". The AI maps your words to
  shadcn/ui variables.
- Say what to keep. "Keep the fonts" stops a font change.
- Type `-` once. Two hyphens (`--`) change to an em dash in the prompt box.
  Write variable names without the `--` prefix.
